Installation curved transparent armor ford police vehicle bulletproof ballistic glass

This video explains how to remove the original door window of a Ford Interceptor SUV (Explorer) and replace it with the armored glass.
The edge (offset) of the new window is twice as thick as the original. So the top of the door has to be widened a bit. We recommend using a 3/8” extension. The interior side of the window is made from high quality polycarbonate so be careful not to scratch it during the installation.
This new 16.5mm glass weighs 11 kilos and has a steel extension on the bottom. This extension overlaps with the car door armor (sold by others or by us). This opaque armor is usually two inches smaller than the door. The original motor works with this heavier glass. But because of the heavier weight it is best not to overwork it.
This new ballistic glass has the advantage that you can shoot out with a 9mm FMJ or Hollow Point.
It is rated IIIA or ASTM WK55511 Level A threat T1 (.357 Sig. 125 grain), T2 (.44 magnum 240 grain), and T3 (12 Gauge 1 oz lead slug)
