Elvis, Roy Orbison, Aretha Franklin, the Beach Boys - they’ve all had the Royal Philharmonic treatment. Now it’s the Carpenters turn to have some of their biggest hits re-worked with the orchestra. Richard Carpenter is the producer, arranger and conductor for the new album, which was recorded Abbey Road studios in London. It marks the first time in the legends series, that the actual artist has played a key role in the recording process.

I met Richard Carpenter at his home in California.
