Coming Out During the Holidays: 8 Tips & More
Coming out can be a difficult but liberating experience. With the holiday season among us and this time of year spending lots of time with family, if you haven't already, coming out might be on your mind.
Is it safe to come out to my family?
Am I ready to come out to my family?
What questions will my family ask when I come out?
What supports should I put in place?
I touch on these questions within these 8 tips that I have for anyone thinking about coming out during the holidays.
Term Glossary:
Queer: An umbrella term used to describe a person who is non-heterosexual and/or non-cisgender. (Wikipedia)
Like I said in the video, if you have tips for others on how you navigated coming out or if you are preparing to and have questions leave them below in the comment section.
