NIPPON SRC-2015B 80's Ghettoblaster Restoration

This boombox's name is NIPPON, aka RISING made in Japan back in 80's. It has big speakers and great looking. Owner of this boombox is an Artist living in NYC. I had an opportunity to restore this one working with him.

Originally the condition was so bad, it showed heavy wear from its age. Some of the plastic parts were cracked, cassette tape deck was not in working condition as well as radio. I mean nothing was working at all.

I took boombox apart and clean all parts. Fixed cassette deck and radio. Then I added Bluetooth receiver system. In the mean time the owner of this boombox painted casing and other parts with spray paint. It came out nice and shiny. There were 3 missing buttons, my son printed them with 3D printer. I left their color as red because they were looking great among in the silver, also 2 red buttons were for SW1 and SW2 bands that have no signal service anymore and 1 red key was for cassette recording button.
