It’s been now 2 years that I am using a German N26 free online bank account, and since it is by far the most popular from all the free German bank accounts presented in the BerlinCheap.com blog, I thought I will sum up my personal long-term experience in a test of N26.

In short: If you need a bank account without any basic fee, simple post-ident or video-ident registration, a mobile phone app, free money withdrawals suited well for expats and travelling and you're fine with an online account, then N26 is a good option.
