Kontrapunktus proudly presents "THE HOMAGE: The Genius of Domenico Scarlatti," our final livestream concert that will be premiering on YouTube Live on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 7 PM PST/10 PM EST.

A pupil of Corelli disciple, Francesco Geminiani–English organist, Charles Avison, interpreted selections of keyboard sketches into a concerti grossi that captures the dexterity and grace of harpsichordist, Domenico Scarlatti, a contemporary he admired greatly for his unparalleled skill.

Led by renowned harpsichordist, Dr. Ian Pritchard, our musical offering revels in the splendor of Avison's commemorative pieces while also showcasing the beauty of the harpsichord with solo performances of three of Scarlatti's best sonatas.

Kontrapunktus is led by renowned harpsichordist, Dr. Ian Pritchard, and is comprised of some of the finest classical musicians in the world who come to us from the Colburn School, the Juilliard School, and the New England Conservatory of Music.
