INCREDIBLE lightning with SNJ Supercell!

~After getting NO storms all year (our last good one was in FEBRUARY) July 14th, 2017 pulled through with one of the best displays of lightning I have ever seen! Not only that, for the first time ever my location was directly struck with a rare supercell thunderstorm! The storm exhibited strong rotation at times on radar but a tornado warning was not warranted. Hail to nickel and quarter size fell along with 50-60mph winds. Over 1" of rain fell in a matter of minutes. This storm formed along a warm front and after growing to over 50,000ft tall, it anchored itself and became a right mover. Thunderstorms that develop along warm fronts have increased rotation as wind direction and temperature differences on either side of the warm front enhance updraft helicity.
