This might be one of the most striking humanoid robots shown at WRC 2026.

AheadForm’s Elf·Xuan 2.0 pushes humanoid design in a very different direction: realistic facial motion, bionic skin, moving eyes and an appearance designed specifically for human-robot interaction.

The face alone has more than 30 degrees of freedom, allowing subtle movements around the eyes, mouth and other facial features.

What makes this demo interesting is the contrast. Underneath the highly human-like exterior, the exposed joints and mechanical structure make it very clear that this is still a robot.

Humanoid development is no longer focused only on walking speed, balance or manipulation. Companies are also competing on facial expression, communication and how naturally a machine can interact with a person.
