Presenting Gjirokastra to the world

The City of Stone is famous for its old castle which is located in the heart of the bazaar, The old traditional houses with a unique architecture its legends. The town is made up of adjacent two urban centers, the historical part which climbs upwards with the amazing combination of shades of grey and the luminous white and the more recent one down in valley. Gjirokastra is protected by UNESCO since 2005.
