The Book of Jubilees is an ancient text recording dialogue between an Angel of God and the Prophet Moses on Mount Sinai in 1,300 BCE. Jubilees is part of both the Christian Tewahedo Church's and the Jewish Israelite Ethiopian's Holy Bibles. It's been faithfully preserved and protected for millennia by Ethiopians in the ancient, sacred Ge'ez (Ethiopic) language.

Jubilees retells Genesis and part of Exodus, but with a different framing and many additional stories and dialogues that give new, bright color to the Biblical narrative. Weaving together the origin story of Abraham’s family with the universal, human story of our shared source in creation, Jubilees holds relevance for people of all faiths and backgrounds.
