Does W Tapping work on MC Bedrock?

In this video i compare MC java and mc bedrock w tapping to check if w tapping indeed works on mc bedrock.

Comparing both of the clips, it seems that bedrock w tapping doesn't work, or it is not strong as java w tapping.
Edit [2 June 2021]: I recently watched Yellowfish Gaming's Video on "How to combo on the hive" there he explains how bedrock KB works. Basically whenever your opponent is standing still, you deal horizontal KB whereas if you are moving forward towards your opponent and they are also moving towards you then you deal vertical KB.
In a nutshell, W Tapping on MC Bedrock allows you maintain more distance between your opponent rather than dealing more KB.
