Strategy game Star Wars: Zero Company has been officially announced.

The game will be introduced in detail at the Star Wars event on April 19. The new Star Wars game, developed in collaboration with Electronic Arts, Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor, has been announced. "Star Wars: Zero Company" will offer a turn-based strategy experience in the style of XCOM. The game will be introduced in detail at the Star Wars Celebration event to be held in Japan.

Star Wars: Zero Company was designed as a strategy game based on single-player and turn-based tactical mechanics. The development of the game was led by Bit Reactor, which focuses on strategy games, while Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games are supporting the project.

Players will create a team of operators with special abilities and send this team on dangerous missions across the galaxy. It is stated that the characters in the first concept studies represent only a part of the elite team that the player will control.

Bit Reactor's first major game

In 2022, EA tasked Respawn with developing three new games in the Star Wars universe. The first game was released as Jedi: Survivor. The second game is a first-person shooter (FPS) game whose name has not yet been announced. The third game is the newly announced strategy game Star Wars: Zero Company.

Bit Reactor is a studio founded by Greg Foertsch, a former executive at Firaxis Games. Star Wars: Zero Company will be the first major project for this young studio. The team includes experienced developers who have worked on important games such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War and The Elder Scrolls Online.

Release platforms and release date

Star Wars: Zero Company is being developed for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. More details about the game will be shared during a live panel at the Star Wars celebrations in Japan, which will start on April 19.
