Decoding Dystonia
Can you imagine a world where something as simple as brushing your teeth, washing the dishes, typing on a keyboard, drinking coffee, eating, and drinking is a daily struggle – an insufferable challenge? For some people, this world is not a figment of their imagination. For some people, this world is called reality.
Through a unique journey, this video aims to showcase the difficulties of living with a disorder the average person is unfamiliar with – dystonia. A first-person perspective will definitely help everyone empathize with these struggles.
The video continues with an overview of dystonia through an animated format. This overview includes information about specific dystonia characteristics, the types of dystonia, its causes, and various symptoms, and treatment options.
The video concludes with an emotional call-to-action; we as a society have a duty to help individuals in these conditions – to create an enabling environment that is accommodating to all types of individuals.
