In the current Starbound 1.3 preview, there are almost 30 mech body components to discover, either through completing quests as a specific race, or by unlocking their recipes from blueprints you find in space encounters.

In this Let's Play Starbound 1.3 preview video we take a ride in all of these Starbound 1.3 mech bodies, including the race-specific prototypes and their upgraded versions, along with weird and funny ones such as giant skulls and sharks (the Lilotron).

We also discuss how Starbound 1.3 mech bodies come with a variety of stats, giving the max energy stat and defence rating for each body type.
