SpaceX Starship Ft6 Launch| From Isla Blanca Beach 19 November 2024
Chapter Times:
00:18 - Liftoff
00:32 - Clears Launch Tower
02:07 - Booster Separation
In this video, witness the SpaceX Starship launch directly across from the SpaceX Starship launch site from Isla Blanca on South Padre Island. The sixth flight test of the Starship lifted off at approximately 4:01 pm central time from SpaceX's Starbase facility. Of note, President Trump visited Starbase to witness the launch. The flight was nominal until the booster boost back burn, when SpaceX opted not to attempt to return the booster to the launch pad to be caught by Mechazilla, the robotic launch tower arms, instead opting for a splashdown in the gulf of Mexico. Witnessing the SpaceX Starship launch was truly an incredible experience, and it is awesome to think that the future of spaceflight is being built there. My first time, but it is a lot easier to get down there than to Florida (although I plan to go to Florida to cover the Artemis launch next summer/fall). Truly an incredible experience, and something that I would suggest anyone do at least once. You will not regret it, truly an unforgettable experience. Also try to view it with other people if possible, it is that much better! The date for the 7th flight test has not been revealed, as SpaceX and the FAA are still processing data gathered from this launch. SpaceX will also need an updated launch license, because this license only covered flights 5 and 6. There is more news about this flight that impacts the license that I will detail in another video. However, if history and SpaceX's ambition to launch is any indication, the next launch should be roughly a month, probably sooner. Of note, SpaceX did not try to recover the booster with Mechazilla this time, because they were receiving anamalous telemetry data prior to go for catch attempt. As a result, Booster 13 performed a soft water landing in the gulf of mMexico. The upper stage, on the other hand, coasted in space and relit one of its engines (a key test flight objective), and splashed down on target in the Indian ocean.

What did you think of Starship's sixth flight test? How do you think this will impact future missions? How soon do you think Starship will launch again? Share your thoughts down below, subscribe today, and of course, as always, you can check out more videos right now.
