A unique series of spectacular fire festivals takes place in Shetland each year between January and March. Inspired by the islands’ Norse heritage, the festivals bring communities across the islands together for a night of guizing (dressing up), torchlit processions, feasting, and dancing the night away. You too can experience the drama, the fun, the enjoyment, the atmosphere, and the tradition.
