★ my first art journal flip through ✰ // cathy journals

hello there~ here's a full flip-through of my art journal from june to august 2020! ❀

i bought this journal years ago, but i picked it up again during quarantine. over past few months, making art has kept me sane while i was back at home. whether it was painting for hours or finding flowers around my neighborhood for pictures, the little things helped me find joy in an otherwise chaotic year.

i was hesitant to upload a flip-through because i don’t like all the pages, the spreads were completed out of order, and there are some of my old drawings. however, the process of completing this journal was a journey in itself and i wanted to share the final result! i don’t have a particular style and experiment with different mediums, but i think that’s okay. my new journal is another chapter to improve my art style and i can’t wait to share my progress!

hopefully others find inspiration to do something creative, try something new, or at the very least, relax for a few minutes. during this tumultuous year, everyone has paused their normal lives and we’ve been given the chance to grow so take advantage of it. #coronaglowup right?

last note: in case you were wondering why i have so many subs, this is an old youtube channel from middle school but i made all my videos private. i decided to revive it and i’ll try to post occasionally from now on!
