Removable Hammock Posts with treated 8ft 4x4 lumber

A quick demonstration of how we put 4x4 treated lumber posts into our backyard law n for hanging hammocks. We didn't want to leave them there permanently, so these slide into vinyl post sleeves that remain in the ground. Roofing shingles provide a cap for those sleeves when the posts aren't in them to keep the water out of the holes. Quick and easy project with all materials available from your local hardware store. Hammocks not included. Quick set cement was used around the vinyl sleeves, with just some dirt to backfill at the very top so the sod can grow up against it again.
