Catherine "Cappy" Gillies talks to Bill Nelson

A conversation between Catherine "Cappy" Gillies and the late Bill Nelson. Most of the conversation revolves around a character named Jullian, who was posing for a brief time as the son of Paul Watkins and Ruth Ann "Ouisch" Moorehouse. He was also "Dominique", a female persona that he used on the phone to get close to ex-members of the Family under the pretense that "she" was writing a book. Nelson also spends a great deal of time desperately telling Cathy to convince Sandra "Blue" Good that he isn't a such bad guy. Something that both Nelson and Good proved wrong later on. At this time, Nelson was working on a "Where Are They Now" style documentary with Alisa Statman, who was living in the guest house at 10050 Cielo Drive and later authored the book, Restless Souls. Statman today claims that Nelson told her he was working with HBO and the original idea was to do a documentary on the murders from the victims POV, but this is nonsense. It was she who had connection's to the film industry, having just finished working as assistant director on A Few Good Men. The Letter Nelson sent with her establishing communication wasn't exactly a "cold letter" as she says. She had actually ordered a copy of his book Tex Watson: The Man, The Myth, The Manipulation and a VHS copy of his most recent parole hearing.
All of these tapes also give insight into the type of fellow Bill Nelson was and how he would play both sides of any fence. Here he speaks highly of some of those within The Family, while at other times he would perpetuate the batshit insane theory that they were responsible for over 35 murders, which is something Vincent Bugliosi would often say.
