If you are looking for a BUDGET FRIENDLY Vitamin C serum that's great for sensitive skin...THIS IS IT! This brand, Vanicream is already well known and highly recommended by many Dermatologists for being great for people with sensitive skin, rosacea, etc. Most affordable Vitamin C serums contain L Ascorbic acid, which is great BUT the downside of L Ascorbic is that it can be very irritating (especially in concentrations above 10%) I typically cannot use L Ascorbic C serums over 10%, otherwise my skin gets irritated and I break out 😩 My FAVORITE form of Vitamin C is called Tetrahexydecly Ascorbate (THD), which is lipid soluble and is "supposed" to penetrate better than the standard L Ascorbic. THD also doesn't cause irritation. YAY! I have only been using this NEW Vitamin C serum from Vanicream for a month and while I can't give a full review just yet, I will say I am really enjoying it and will most definitely purchase it again. Most THD Vitamin C serums are quite expensive so I was THRILLED when I saw this affordable one come on the market from Vanicream. If you are looking for an affordable, non irritating form of Vitamin C, this is one I would definitely check out.
