Paint a Simple Loose Watercolor Poppy (Side View)! So Easy!

Today I'm going to show you how to paint loose watercolor poppies. Poppies have weird shaped petals; they remind me of sweet peas. Basically you can paint any shape as a petal & how many ever petals you want. Just remember to paint the petals bright red, vermillion, &/or orange with dark black stamens & it’s going to look just a poppy! This also means that you can leave the flower very simple or get as detailed as you want. There are many versions & variations of the flower that you can paint. You can be really loose with it or go into more detail & define the shape of the flower more.
For a defined side-view of the flower, paint front petals first, the back petals. Just remember that the flower should make a circle shape. *** Remember to paint the petals as close together as possible while still leaving a little bit of white space in between each. While the petals are still wet, drop black in the center & also emboss or score poppy lines (if you wish). Once the flower is completely dry, go back in & paint the black stamens. The stamens complete the flower & finish it off nicely.
I have to look at something when I paint. If you can paint from memory or just from your mind then consider yourself very lucky!!!
