I remember there were two songs to really listen for in the show(that really moved me) And I Am Telling You, of course, and I Am Changing (The other big highlight of the show).Jennifer Holliday's excecution of this fluxuating song(A song that changes keys....goes from very loud to a piano voice in the same phrase)is spellbounding.The song fits her voice like a glove(Or vice versa).Again the audience being blown away by Michael Bennets idea," Let's have Effie change clothes on stage in the midddle of the song"Pulled off beautifully by the subtle pin light shrinking to Ms.Hollidays face;her chaging clothes(taking off the outer gown);pin light broadens with the key of the song...results? magic.
