Faced with relentless Israeli bombardment and displacement, 9-year-old Lama Abu Jamous has turned to social media to document the conflict unfolding in the Gaza Strip. The aspiring journalist has quickly amassed more than 600,000 followers on Instagram. The devastating war between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza has dragged on for three months with no end in sight. The war began on 7 October when Palestinian militants rampaged through southern Israel killing around 1,140 people, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures. In Gaza, the devastating Israeli military campaign has killed at least 22,600 people, according to the health ministry in the besieged territory.
