DIY Mosquito net frame instructions for bamboo or wood.

Box shaped Bed Canopy Mosquito Net Instructions for Bamboo or Wooden Frame

Insert 4 hooks in the ceiling above the four corners of your bed. The hooks must be securely fixed to joists, battens or with toggle hooks depending on ceiling type. If you have a plaster ceiling it is suggested you use toggle hooks. Attach cord or line to ceiling hooks allowing ample length for ease of raising the canopy (we suggest from ceiling hook to just above the bed). Using a heavy duty or large gauge fishing line will facilitate installation.

Lay out the ceiling of your Mosquito Net Bed Canopy on the bed ensuring the length and width is correct.
Remove any surface dust on poles and pre-cut the lengths to:
King: 2 @ 240cm (95”), 2 @ 230cm (91”)
Queen: 2 @ 240cm (95”), 2 @ 200cm (79”)
Double/Full: 2 @ 230cm (91”), 2@ 180cm (71”)
Single/Twin: 2@ 230cm (91”), 2@ 140cm (55”)

Lay the poles at the foot, head and sides of the bed. Fix the poles together, allowing them to overlap in an attractive manner, by tying leather thongs or similar at the dimension of the ceiling of your canopy (for example the Queen 220 x 170 cm, or King 230 x 200 cm).
Tie the line from the ceiling hooks to this semi-rigid frame and suspend it, corner by corner, at a position below head height so that it will facilitate attaching the Mosquito Net Bed Canopy.

Knot the ties from your canopy onto the poles starting at the corners. A tight knot will create a taut ceiling; a loose knot will create a billowing ceiling. Please note these knots will need to be re-tied as the canopy is stretched.

Raise the canopy, corner by corner, tying and untying the cord/nylon until the correct height is reached. This may take several circuits of the canopy and a ladder may be required. Once desired height is reached tie firmly, the correct height is a personal choice as some people will want the canopy to touch the floor (especially for insect protection) while others will prefer a canopy that is higher.
