CJ Slayer, winner of Your Shot 2022, has long been in the electronic music scene, raving her way to a solid musical education. Her sets are driving, blending a diverse range of techno, breaks, and dark-wave electro with an energetic mixing style involving creative layers, drops, and builds in an attempt to bring her audience on a journey to the unknown. Recently, CJ made her international debut at Chasing Summer Festival, in Canada. She’s supported international artists Tiesto, James Hype, Stranger, and Rebekah and has played at venues including Sub Club, Revs, Guerns, 24 Moons, and the Third Day. She also hosts DJ Social Club open decks and is passionate about creating positive vibes in the community.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement: a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis, resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
