Testing on September 9, 2016 of the drag generated, at low speed, by a large braking parachute designed to slow down fighter aircrafts during landings at high speeds:

During this test the canopy was not totally opened.
The distance between the dynamometer hook and the parachute canopy was approximately 28 meters.
