Kim Crosbie | Analogy between our brain waves and climbing Mount Everest

When climbing Mount Everest, a climber must prepare himself against altitude sickness by acclimatising himself gently. The spiritual journey is similar. In our daily lives, our brain functions too often within the beta wave (rational mind) making it difficult to meditate and self-reflect since those activities are in different brain waves. We must learn to acclimatize
our brain to go into Alfa (imagination, relaxation) and Theta wave (subconscious). It’s important to practise meditation, with persistence and consistency, in entering the alfa wave and eventually the theta wave (subconscious). When in the Theta wave, the information is very symbolic representing issues in our life. Our Gamma wave is our heart or
Inner Self communicating intuitively its wisdom.
