Glaser Transforminal Epidural Complication
Dr. Scott Glaser discusses the risks associated with safe triangle transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI). Dr. Glaser opens with several cases of safe triangle TFESI-induced spinal cord infarcts and describes the controversy surrounding the etiology of TFESI-related infarcts. He then provides compelling evidence that safe triangle injections are far more dangerous than injections in Kambin’s triangle. Dr. Glaser also touches on the lack of robust evidence for non-particulate steroids in avoiding TFESI-induced injury.
