Thorax transverse CT imaging

Radiological imaging of the body is both very useful and fascinating. Let's look at some of the major structures within the thorax that we can find when looking at a stack of transverse (or axial) CT sections. MR images of the chest would look similar structurally, but a little different in terms of detail level and shades of grey.

We'll find the major veins and arteries, the airways and oesophagus, and can look at the lungs, heart and diaphragm briefly.
