How to Tie a Hare's Ear Diawl Bach-Fly Tying with Phil Rowley

The Diawl Bach is a Welsh pattern and literally translated means "Little Devil.: This deadly pattern has many variants, such as this one, which is one of my favorite suggestive stillwater patterns. This hare's ear variant is similar to others, but the pink hot spot head has proven particularly effective for me. This pattern's slender, sleek lines work well when trout are feeding on Callibaetis nymphs and scuds, especially in clear water.
