Former WVU Football QB Takes a SHOT at the SEC

Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti took a shot at the SEC after being asked about dropping a home-and-home series with Virginia in favor of scheduling home contests with Kennesaw State and Austin Peay. This kind of scheduling can't exist in football, and while everyone is piling on to Indiana for it, the SEC is to blame.

The SEC only plays eight conference games while everyone else plays nine. Not to mention, the SEC always schedules games against FCS opponents in championship November, giving them an easy win and an opportunity to give their key guys some rest while the rest of the Power Four is beating up on each other and eliminating one another left and right.

If we want college football to be in a great place, there needs to be a uniform scheduling template that all P4 leagues use. Everyone schedules 1 Power Four, 1 Group of Six, and 1 FCS opponent.
