The Sacred Art of Sand Divination

The Gour'mache people of eastern Burkina Faso are renowned for their indigenous spiritual technologies. One such example is Sand Divination. Ethno-mathematician Ron Eglash traces the origin of the binary code and modern computing to this ancient practice (see his Ted Talk for more detail).
This video, originally created in 2008 and only released in 2017, features some of the sand divinations which BARKA Foundation's co-founders experienced between 2005-2008 during their tutelage under spiritual healers and medicine keepers of eastern Burkina.
