Again, I want to give credit to @therealolivegarden on Tik Tok for the og tutorial that I followed! Anyway this is a super fun quarantine activity to do if you're bored, so I'd highly recommend trying it out! I forgot to mention this in the video but for the other hanging butterflies that I added after I shot this vid, I actually made a google docs sheet with copies of the butterfly in different sizes. I made it black and white and messed with the settings so that they were just black and white (no grey). Then I printed it out so that the black and outline was already there, I just had to color it in. I hope that makes sense, just leave a comment if it doesn't :) Basically this new method saved tracing time, coloring time, and my poor black marker. This way saves time but the tracing method let's you customize how you want each butterfly to look, so it's all up to personal preference!
