The SparkFun Spectral Sensor - AS7343 (Qwiic) allows users to measure light in both the visible spectrum (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) all on a single IC in a tiny package. The AS7343 has exceptional sensitivity across its sensing spectrum (~380nm to 1000nm) and operates without issue in low-light environments and even when measuring from behind tinted glass. It works well for measuring reflected, emitted and transmitted light making it a great solution for spectroscopy applications like color matching, spectral signature analysis and more. The AS7343 communicates over I2C so naturally we put it on this 1"x1" Qwiic breakout board with a pair of Qwiic connectors.
