Let's review each episode of the classic Warner Bros cartoon Tiny Toon Adventures in (mostly)under a minute!

Citizen Max is an obvious parody of Citizen Kane. Montana throws a king-size tantrum in his mansion, before screaming ACME out his window, where it's overheard by Hamton, who's instructed to figure out what it meant to him. Unlike the other homages the show's featured, this is a straight-up parody of the source material, following a similar plot and style to the original classic, but given the Tiny Toons makeover. Like having the election be for class president. The structure is similar to the film, where the story is told through the people closest to Montana. Including Buster, who was originally his best friend, before his parents won the lottery and he became a rich douchebag. Yeah, unlike the actual movie, which shows us multiple sides to Kane and his gradual downfall, we're not supposed to sympathize with Montana at all. And while the women in Kane's life were integral to learning more about him, Elmyra here is absolutely no help. Outside of the Citizen Kane elements, there are a lot of good gags, Like Plucky being Montana's campaign manager and accidentally knocking him out a window, before catching him. Almost. Or Montana's corruption being exposed by Buster and Babs, who are disguised as the opposite genders. It even corrects a major plot hole from the movie, as someone IS around to hear Montana scream his apparent final words. And when it looks like it's going to end with the same revelation, it throws its own twist in at the very end, which I will not spoil. It's a little weird they decided to parody a film most kids had never heard of, but as a fan of both these properties, I'm glad they did, and it's clearly a labor of love from the team. Definitely worth a watch. Also, tomato surprise.
