A 15-hour ultra-long-haul flight from Manila (MNL) to New York (JFK) in the Philippine Airlines Airbus A350-1000 turned into absolute cockpit chaos just minutes before arrival.

Everything was running smoothly on this massive endurance marathon until we approached the SIE (Sea Isle) waypoint. While executing a steep descent to hit our altitude restrictions, the advanced Airbus automation suddenly went into hyper-protective mode, triggering a terrifying "AUTO FLT EMER DESCENT" checklist and forcing a Squawk 7700! 🚨✈️
