I’ve just moved to Bangkok for a year. One evening after grabbing a coffee in my neighborhood, I came across something I didn’t expect - a Hindu temple with Lord Ganesha (พระพิฆเนศ / Phra Phikanet) and Goddess Lakshmi (พระลักษมี / Phra Laksami). As a Hindu from India, this moment hit differently. Most people think Thailand is all about beaches, parties, and Buddhism, but no one talks about how deeply Hinduism is present here.

The next morning, I took my camera and went back. Locals were offering red Fanta as a form of worship. A shopkeeper explained this peaceful alternative to blood offerings, and we ended up having a long chat. She gifted me small idols of Vishnu and Lakshmi, and a Hanumanji sticker. I never expected this from a place many Indians associate with adult tourism. This video shares what I saw, felt, and learned.
