Tuesday Knight Blitz Swiss | Tournament #34
This is a Swiss format chess tournament I created and livestreamed on December 15th, 2020 for team ChessNetwork on lichess. It consisted of 9 rounds of 3|2 Blitz. In a Swiss tournament, each competitor does not necessarily play all other entrants. Competitors meet one-on-one in each round and are paired using a set of rules designed to ensure that each competitor plays opponents with a similar running score, but not the same opponent more than once. The winner is the competitor with the highest aggregate points earned in all rounds. All competitors play in each round unless there is an odd number of players. Many thanks to all who took part in the ChessNetwork Swiss on December 15th, 2020. You’re welcome to join team ChessNetwork at lichess.org/team/chessnetwork and compete in these Swiss tournaments.
I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
