Croatian Royal Anthem (Hrvatska Kraljevska himna, Kraljevka)

Croatian Royal Anthem (In Croatia ''Kraljevka'' meaning Royal or Kings anthem) originated in 1797 and was composed by Joseph Haydn, the Croatian text version was written by Croatian poet and general Petar pl. Preradović. It is the oldest Croatian anthem, since the 19th century it was used with the ''Lijepa naša Domovino'' (Our Beautiful Homeland) as the official anthem of the Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina until 1918. The anthem in various national forms was the official one of the Habsburg monarchy. The inspiration for Haydns composition came from the Croatian folk song called "Stal se jesem" which was often played in Gradišće (Burgenland), which had an large Croatian population and influenced Joseph Haydn who grew up in the border village of Rohrau.
