Moldova: Maia Sandu wins vote, beating Russia-backed competitor

Former World Bank economist Maia Sandu is to become the first female president of Moldova after winning more than 57 percent of the vote.
The pro-European candidate beat the pro-Russian incumbent Igor Dodon in a runoff, who has conceded defeat and called for calm from his supporters.
