Stranger Things Actors On Preparing For Their Roles For Season 4

What does it take to become a character in the Stranger Things world? Our favorite actors each have their own unique answers to this question. The preparation that went into getting ready to play each of the characters we see in Stranger Things season 4 was nothing short of impressive. From Millie Bobby Brown preparing for intense emotional scenes, to Jamie Campbell Bower becoming the feared Vecna. There was no shortage of moments and scenes that required these actors to go the extra mile. Sometimes actors needed to prep physically, as was the case with David Harbour and Joe Keery. Sometimes it was mental preparation, like with Caleb McLaughlin and Sadie Sink. And sometimes the actors were required to learn a brand new skill that their character had. One actor took lessons every single day for 3 months straight to learn their new skill!

The hard work of the cast definitely paid off, as season 4 elevated Stranger Things to a whole new level. Caleb McLaughlin, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, and the rest of the cast brought their A-game for their return as the iconic Hawkins characters. We get so lost in how well the show is acted sometimes, that we forget that Hawkins and the upside down aren’t real places! It proves how well the actors know their characters, and how their preparation lends to how believable they are on screen.
