About the Game:
Released in 2011, and remastered in 2016, Batman: Arkham City is a single player action-adventure video game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It is a sequel to the 2009 Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game has received universal critical acclaim, making it one of the highest rated video games released in 2011.

Set nearly a year and a half after the events of Arkham Asylum, former asylum warden Quincy Sharp has been elected mayor of Gotham City and, in a stunning move, has transformed much of Old Gotham into a new super prison named "Arkham City". With Blackgate Prison and Arkham Asylum now closed down, Arkham City has become the new home for inmates from both facilities, including the clown prince of crime, the Joker, who has now fallen ill due to his overdose on Titan back at the Asylum. Placed under the care of Professor Hugo Strange and his elite force of private military from TYGER security, Arkham City is touted to Gotham as the safest prison to both serve as a more effective penitentiary for criminals as well as to facilitate their gradual rehabilitation. But for Bruce Wayne, the new prison held a deeper secret than it led on, and is nothing short of an impending disaster waiting to happen. Having used his status and influence in making public moves against the prison's existence, Bruce Wayne's suspicions become confirmed as he's incarcerated within Arkham City's walls. Now donning the cape and cowl, Batman must contend against a society of super criminals he helped lock away and uncover the carefully hidden truths of Arkham City.
