☕ Day 4: Coffee Bar – Making It Personal 💙🏞️✨

Quick recap: The cabinet is built and in place, the plywood countertop is cut and primed, and the first layer of resin created a beachy lake vibe with real sand, blues, greens, and foamy shoreline details.

Today is when I got to add something extra special to the countertop. There’s a rock at the lake that the grandkids love jumping off—it’s one of their favorite things to do. Since the lakehouse is all about fun and memories, I decided to turn that moment into part of the design.

I took a photo of the rock and cut out pictures of the grandkids mid-jump. Using Super Gloss Mod Podge, I carefully decoupaged them onto the resin countertop. The water looked blue, and the green ended up resembling a looming cloud—it actually worked out beautifully!

Once the Mod Podge was fully dry, we sealed it all in with a clear coat of resin and let it cure.

It’s turning into more than just a coffee bar—it’s a piece of family history. ❤️
