The role of a mother in one’s life is immense especially when the other parent is not bothered. A childhood and then youth full of struggles can either easily mislead one to go the wrong way. But, Gaurav Khanna, National Head Coach, Para Badminton decided to find ways to distract himself from all that was wrong, and find the path that would be right. His journey from early days of brickbats to creating champions out of the physically challenged boys and girls in Badminton is a great road map for all to learn how to never give up.
Gaurav Khanna is the God sent Angel for for Para Badminton players He is The man behind Indian shuttlers' success in Tokyo Paralympics. Picking up Badminton at an early age, Khanna won many state and national championships which also helped him start his career as an inspector in the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He has set up an academy and built a disabled-friendly accommodation-cum-recovery centre raising Rs 1 crore loan for these para athletes in Lucknow. On 29th August 2020, Khanna received the Dronacharya Award for his contribution to the success of Para Badminton in India.
