Special Investigation: Tobi-Kadachi Vs. Sacred Sheathe Longsword - 特別討究 トビカガチ 太刀 ソロ【サンブレイク】

Tobi-Kadachi is one of my favorite fights and monster in the series period. While fighting this middle-threat monster seems anti-climatic for a final Sunbreak video (edit: LMAO), I think on the contrary it is pretty nice.

First because Tobi-Kadachi was one of the first monsters I speedran on my channel. The second one with Sacred Sheathe Longsword. In fact I really recommend you go see that video and come back to this one to compare the difference in skill from back then to now.

Second I think Tobi-Kadachi is genuinely one of the best fights in the game. As a Lightning monster, it is much better designed overall than Astalos and Zinogre.Tobi-Kadachi has its entire moveset available to it when it is not charged, and when it enters charged state he gains additional moves, AoE effects to his attacks, and even new patterns.

I'm also a big fan of Tobi-Kadachi for being one of the few (interesting) monsters in the game that pretty much has a 100% melee moveset with no projectiles.

I will miss Sacred Sheathe Longsword because I know it won't be in the next game. This is the only playstyle that got me interested in Longsword again ; the last being in 4U, where it was one of the worst weapons, but was still an interesting positioning-based weapon with no counters.

I think I will maybe give my thoughts on Sunbreak overall in a community post. I even thought about doing a complete review and critique of it at some point but I don't think I have the writing skills for this yet, and I don't have the time either.
