Lynx addiction to road pipes
Lynxes use road pipes quite frequently. A road pipe is something visually outstanding in the habitat structure at forest road. Therefore such remarkable spots are marked lynxes a lot. Also, we found that the frequent usage of road pipes by lynxes is connected with their hunting in kinds of both patroling-stalking and ambushing. During rainy weather or wet snow cover a lynx, while entering a road pipe, shake up and sometimes roll to dry the wet fur, and sometimes they rest inside. Being inside road pipe, lynxes couched on some substratum inside (sand, dry remains of vegetation).
