What did Jesus say about obedience and how do I obey God completely? Today we're going to look at and explain John 14:15 and talk about it's meaning for us and how we can better obey God's word. Jesus said that if we truly love Him we will obey Him and his commandments. To obey God completely, being perfectly obedient, seems almost impossible. I'm always coming up short and failing to be perfectly obedient to all God's commandments. So how do I obey God and God's Word?

Well the only way to obey God perfectly is with His help. We will never be perfect, but genuinely trying our hardest to obey God IS obedience to God. Jesus would not have told us in John 14:15 that if we truly love Him we will obey Him unless it was possible for us to do so. Allowing Jesus to work from within us to obey is how we obey God's word and commandments completely.
