The Best Architecture for Jetpack Compose in 2020 (WHAT COMPOSE IS MISSING)

We all wish we didn't have to deal with the lifecycle of fragments and activities. Rotations ruin everything.
I think everyone is hoping that with Jetpack Compose we'll be able to Architect apps basically like Flutter does. By defining composables and navigation graphs that contain composables. I know I do.
Currently composables cannot maintain state across configuration changes and process death unless by using savedInstanceState. There is also no way to "scope" a viewmodel to a composeable. If you could scope a viewmodel to a composable that would change everything.
