Bobcat Takes Down Mule Deer!!!

This is footage I captured with my cell phone, through my spotting scope while I was deer hunting in Idaho. See my instagram highlights for more footage from that day @willhoffman101

The sun was coming up and I had just hiked to my glassing point on a steep face across from the area I expected to find deer. As I glassed through my binoculars, I found a group of deer feeding across from me. The buck in the group was small and I had no intention of pursuing him, but I watched them periodically as I looked for other deer. While watching them I noticed some movement above the deer. I realized it was a bobcat, and it was stalking the herd. I quickly switched from my binoculars to my spotting scope and started taking video with my iphone and phonecam adapter. I watched the bobcat stalk these deer for about 40 minutes. This is the final 3 minutes of that stalk. For more footage see my instagram highlights. I was using a Maven S.1a spotting scope and vanguard tripod. It was extremely windy, hence the sound and shakiness. I know I blew it at the end... my bad. Not as easy as you might think!
