Inter Miami CF has officially opened its new permanent home, Nu Stadium, marking a major turning point for the club. Located within the $1 billion Miami Freedom Park development, the 26,700-seat venue replaces the team’s temporary stay in Fort Lauderdale and brings the franchise back into the heart of Miami.

The stadium opened on April 4, 2026, with a 2-2 draw against Austin FC. Lionel Messi made history by scoring his first-ever goal at Nu Stadium, while Luis Suárez added another to secure a point in front of a sold-out crowd. The moment set the tone for what Inter Miami hopes will be a long-term era of stability and growth.

Built on the former Melreese Country Club site near Miami International Airport, Nu Stadium is designed as a soccer-specific venue with a strong focus on atmosphere and premium fan experience. Features include one of the largest canopy roofs in MLS, a massive 11,000 sq ft team store, luxury hospitality areas, and the league’s longest bar.

The stadium is also part of a much larger mixed-use district that will include retail, office space, hotels, and public parkland. The naming rights partnership with Nu highlights the club’s growing commercial power as it continues to expand its global presence.

With a permanent home now secured, Inter Miami enters a new phase—one that positions the club as a major player both in MLS and on the international stage.
